Today we face international terrorism on a global basis, from large international organized groups to small extremist cells and even from embittered individuals, in every country of the world and the tragedy of the 9/11 World Trade Centre disaster has brought realization of this fact very much to the fare.

The risk of violent acts or terrorist action can however be substantially reduced, if not eliminated, by the implementation of appropriate security measures not just by state governments but also by society as a whole, by corporations, businesses, organizations and individuals, etc.
